My name is Corey Davis and I have been a sim racer for more than 20 years, ever since my feet could reach the pedals on my dad’s rig running the original Papyrus NASCAR Racing game.
After that, I moved on to NASCAR Racing 3 and a number of other racing games before putting sim racing on the back burner when I went to college. But the racing bug bit me again in 2009, so I dusted off my wheel and pedals, researched the newest sims, and discovered iRacing, which I’ve been playing since then.
I started my iRacing career on the road side, running the Pontiac Solstice, Spec Racer Ford, and Volkswagen Jetta. I also dabbled in the short track oval ranks in the Legends car, Late Model, and NASCAR truck. Then I went back to the road side to compete in short enduros. Okay, you get the picture. I consider myself both an oval and road driver with a decent amount of success in both disciplines. On this blog, I will share my story as I navigate through my sim racing career, as well as observations and tips straight from my driver’s seat.
